@davidwojkowski1698 Um, that is a very naive view of the reality of things and it is a TERRIBLE argument capitalist BS free market straw man you are attempting to set up. Do you own a website? Do you code? I run my own websites and AI web bots and scrapers and these things come onto our websites and scrape our data and eat up bandwidth; Open AI and all those web scrapers come without permission and steal our data; this is because Big Tech thinks they can do whatever they want. And to your strawman argument, Big Tech has conditioned humans to accept privacy invasion and steal their data 'in exchange for platform use' because Big Tech has monopolized the internet. The avergae end user is still naive as to how badly they are having their data stolen because Big Tech has have created the FREEMIUM model, those conditioning people to hand over their thought and message; furthermore, this monopolization has not allowed room for real competition to allow other platforms and companies to arise, so that companies who will protect your privacy and data can compete. Furthermore, Big Tech is FORCING itself to be used in every aspect of our economy and society; humans are not being given THE CHOICE to function in society without invasive Big Tech and social media being implemented in all our daily affairs. This is not 'free market capitalism' - its Big Tech dictating how our society shall be run. You are being forced to appify everything, from your bank account, to travel, to shopping; AI is being shoved down our throats, _ WE THE PEOPLE DI D NOT ASK FOR AI - that is Big Tech's evil monster. Biometrics are being forced upon us...the point I am making is that apps are now being forced on people just to do basic life activities where as in 10 years ago, I did not need an app to wipe my butt. Don't come with that naive free market 'you don't have to participate' fallacy and deceive people.
