Regardless if AI art improves, it’ll always have no soul and it’s easy to tell if it is generated or not, because AI only spits out already existing art in a worse soulless way.
And by the way calling an animated character ‘worse looking’ is undermining the time it takes to animate a character while still making them look good. Making a still image look good is much easier, look at manga compared to anime.
