Hate to burst your bubble. But it's really hard to miss the anion gap of -21 with a big red exclamation point next to it. And it's automatically calculated on the EHR (likely EPIC) when the results to a Chem7 blood draw comes back.
I do understand there're negligent healthcare providers out there who might miss it, so not trying to discredit anyone here, but this is literally the basic of the basic blood chemistry.
