The problem is how an AI would interact with the world is fundamentally different than how a human would. People have trouble getting along with others who believe in different things after death, imagine the disparity with someone who cannot die of illness or age or starvation, who has perfect recall and access to all information ever. We could try to teach it empathy, but in the end a baby learns not to hit others because pain hurts, it learns to ask politely because being yelled at feels bad, it shares food and toys because it would want the same. An AI simply wouldn't have those experiences.
