I agree more nuance would have helped, but are you seriously saying there were positives to the Manhattan Project? It wasn't like the bomb was a justified risk of the project; it was a deliberate evil and war crime. You comparing AIs to the Manhattan Project, to suggest AI may not be unequivocally malevolent, does not bode well
