I think this is a strong critique of platform economics, not really a copyright argument. You’re right that AI accelerates a system that already monetizes attention rather than ownership, and that “ownerless” content benefits platforms far more than creators. But copyright hasn’t protected small artists for a long time — it mostly protected catalogs and intermediaries. AI doesn’t eliminate artistic value so much as it forces value to move away from sound itself and toward context, identity, and meaning.
