As an artist I collaborate with AI to improve upon my work and produce images much faster than I could with my old combination of 3D modeling and Photoshop. What would take several hours worth of rendering and re-rendering scenes after making corrections can now be accomplished in a small fraction of that time, so I can produce more and better visual content much faster.
I don't see why AI has to be some nightmare scenario we fear rather than another technology we use as a tool to aid us. AI art isn't going away, and artists need to adapt to a changing world just like every other industry that's going to be affected through machine learning.
