I believe that the establishment of sentient AI does nothing to further the rights case but rather diminishes the importance of sentience entirely as just a series of calculations. In such a world, any AI could be duplicated trillions of times, removing its individuality and uniqueness, and sentience could be hypothetically transferred. Life would be little more than a set of vector problems and would be itself entirely meaningless.
