@tystin_gaming Doesn't matter. Statistically, it's still safer. Thats why it's irrational to be afraid of it. You are far more likely to get killed just driving to your local McDonalds than you are to get killed by an AI vehicle or airplane. You can try to justify it or explain your irrational fear all you want, but it's still irrational and illogical. Humans make too many mistakes, get too distracted, and don't maintain their vehicles properly because they're poor or cheap. You have about a 1 in 100 chance of dying in a car crash over the course of your life. That is crazy high. More than 40k deaths a year in the US. Thats 400k in 10 years. Thats 4 million in 100 years. Population is only 300 million and change. Theres only about 80ish fatalities that have occurred in self driving cars so far in the years we've had them, and not all of them had anything to do with the fact the car was self driving because most of the time HUMAN drivers hit THEM. And while the sample size is small, when you factor in the frequency of their use, the number of people using them on a daily basis, etc, it becomes very clear very quickly they are safer. Showing videos like this with the occasional malfunction to "scare" people into thinking its unsafe is as silly as showing plane crashes to try to convince people that flying isn't safe. Flying is WAY safer. Largely because of the level of expertise you need to do it, the tightly enforced regulations, etc, unlike cars where any old man who can't even see or remember how to operate it can do or some 16 year old that just got his license can do and thinks it would be fun to go as fast as he possibly can between red lights or race other cars. Humans are not safe drivers.
