Okay, let's say that someone made a deepfake video of you doing something depraved that you don't want to do and don't want people to think you've done. It doesn't have to be sexual in nature, but let's assume it's some seriously fucked up sex stuff. It's realistic enough that perhaps your employer will be fooled. Or even a few family members, or people in your community. Imagine if like...your best friend was watching realistic deepfake porn of you with the intent of getting off on it. Fucked up, yeah? Makes you see them in a different light? It's nearly impossible to get those videos down, and now you're constantly worried it'll pop up again. Maybe you know who made the videos, be it a vengeful ex or just some seriously mentally ill person in your life. Maybe it's a complete stranger just trying to fuck with someone's life. Essentially, you can't do anything legally to make them take it down. Even if you know it's not you, there'll forever be a video of you engaging in something you genuinely don't want people to associate with you on the internet. You just have to hope you're able to find employers that are willing to ignore it if it comes up in some kind of background search or they're alerted to it.
Hell, someone might make a string of different videos of you, possibly even use your legal name.
