The difference is that AI will draw the clothes to not make sense, where as human artists tend to simplify. I think a lot of human artists are bad at drawing complicated clothing, and as a result will opt to simplify the clothes to make them easier. AI art will make things up out of nowhere or make clothing intersect because it gets confused and doesn’t have a human brain to tell it to reassess and simplify. The specific leg detail she points out in the ganyu (or however it’s spelled Idc about hoyoverse) drawing is nothing like her actual design. A human artist might simplify it into two bands around the leg and three lines to represent the arrows, but you wouldnt just make up something completely different (and ugly looking). The art style too is a big give away. I have a very simplified art style, so I WOULD simplify a complex outfit to save myself time and heartache. The anime super-rendered art style in the video that AI artists often use IS a very detail-oriented artstyle, and as such it’s hard to believe (in fact, in my opinion, a blatantly obvious dead giveaway) that such a design change would be made by a human artist, and not just being the result of ai getting confused.
