@TheRealParkerW It doesn't have to be inevitable. Nor is it useless. Its got tones of really useful applications way beyond Art. And as for the "Slop" its gonna get better and better as time goes on so quality isn't really an issue. Its a brand new technology. Also nobody asked for deviant art and endless slews of pregnant sonic pictures either. But its here to stay and we all have to live with it. You guys get so angry over this when its obvious your all just feeling threatened by it. But you don't have to. Right now any AI picture is the equivalent of a doodle. It holds about as much effort and thought. Its just better looking now because we have a better tool. That's a good thing. And while there is plenty of people just using it to make whatever dumb shit pops into their head that doesn't change the fact that a person with real vision could use it to create something that they never would have been able to before. And the only reason they cant is because all of you have jumped on a ridiculous band wagon and harass anyone who tries. AI isn't going to go away, it serves to be a purpose in the bigger picture far beyond the Art world. And its only going to get worse if real Artists don't make it a point to get involved and direct it. By rejecting it your just going to create the very monster you all fear the most. By embracing it you can change it, teach it, make it awesome and your own work could have an influence that could become more fundamental than anything you can accomplish by yourself. It using your "stolen" art as source inspiration just means its learned from you. Your work had an influence on something bigger. That should be a good thing. The only problem with that it gets in the way of your egos, wanting credit for something you never made, wanting money for artwork that you claim is about the soul. AI art doesn't diminish the drawing you made for your Grandma, or the Mural on the wall. Its just competition for attention that has you all pissed off. All of your complaints boil down to that. All I'm asking anyone to do is set aside you're fear and jealously and try to see things objectively. We've just been given something awesome that could grow into the very thing we have all been dreaming of for years. Its a literal key to creating your dreams. And you guys want to shit all over it because your petty. I'm sorry but your disdain doesn't make sense to me and you all just sound like hypocrites.
