i agree with you mostly, but i still do think there is a clear distinction between traditional/digital drawing and ai art. generating art with a prompt is still vastly different from creating it for multiple reasons. my first argument would be that it makes the creation of all art forms completely uniform, you create a drawing, a text, a movie in the same exact way : a prompt. this completely changes the entire medium, thus i don't think you could call it the same thing as traditionnal/digital art. secondly, imagine the "tool" which you use to create the piece was a human. with traditional/digital art, imagine you are moving that human's hand to create brush strokes, or simply ordering it to do simple tasks. Now imagine you are only providing an idea for a piece, and letting that human make the piece. I think most people would agree in the first case, the piece is at the very least a collaborative work, in the second case, that is just called ordering a piece, and it does not make you the creator. I think to be a creator, you have to maintain a certain level of control and involvment, and even if you don't, i don't think it's fair to call ai art the same thing as any other form of art.
