It all seems WAY TOO SAD AF knowing that the "plan for AI" was to have it on a closed server and DEFINETELY NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET!!!
it smells kinda like the the scientist back then knowing how much good the Power of nuclear energy (ESP. vs energy stored in chemical bonds) COULD bring, BUT they also knew that if the technology got out, it was going to be horribly abused by radical social groups & government.
Crazy how much destruction weapons based on chemical energy(normal xplosives) do, but back then a 1000 fold increase of effectivity was unthinkable!!!
This mix of insane amount of hope, while also knowing the unimaginable amount of cruel suffering these thechnology bring with them, is the same situation as with AI today!
Humanity has always thought that it would handle things better "next time" but hey, if AI becomes a self developing being, 1000 times smarter as us, at least there wont be a "next time"😉
