idk, I don't think productivity should be the only value that humanity is judged on. I'm personally never going to get the same joy out of using AI as I do out of making a piece of art by hand. I don't want my future to be spent typing prompts.
Corporations are also never going to do anything for the good of humanity. Their dream is a company that runs itself at as little cost as possible, and AI is a means to create that. If they can replace you, they will.
