Of course iam asking the artists if I could use their arts as a reference... using a reference isn't copying or stealing you know? As long you could give credits and mention it in your post. You don't have to tell ALL the artists about what u have used from them as a reference it's why giving CREDITS exist
Secondly.. Yes. You just proved my point by saying "Ai collected data from online art" but do you think the artists that posted/published online their arts would like a robot to steal it in order to mix it with other arts to make its own? No its not logical, it's offense artists and its a menace towards their job
