Raw LLM Responses

Anyone who has a mind or eye for art sees no value in AI "art". If they see value in it, they won't be able to tell you why. Would you read AI books? The reason why I read is to learn about a story another person wants to tell. If they thought it was worth putting time and effort to tell it through THEIR voice, there's something of value there. There is so much intricacy to writing that even elementary schoolers can understand but LLMs cannot grasp. We read and write to spread ideas, not to take words surface-level and create hollow sentences that don't mean anything by shoving them into a machine. Would you listen to AI music? Sure, it might sound good to some people, but anybody with any musical background will recoil upon hearing any. It's hollow the same way AI books are hollow. AI images are no different. Sure, go ahead and generate that image of a lion if you want, and use it as a reference if you want, but the hollowness that radiates from the AI image will carry through in whatever you decide to use it for. When everything is AI and there is no meaning to art anymore, what even is the point of creating anything? When people like you try to diminish the value of human-made art, you're trying to diminish human expression. You might not realize it, but by having an idea, telling an AI to generate an image, and sending that image to a friend, you're omitting yourself from the creation of that image. Your friend won't know if any part of it was intentional from you. You might as well just send your friend the prompt, and that's not only more efficient, but better for the well-being of this planet. Or just send a real image you googled and found. At least you proved you put in some effort to show you cared about what you're trying to get across. This AI art bubble is a frivolous waste of time for people in the CS field to be working on. LLMs have their place in the tech world but it's not this. I don't know why the big suits keep putting money into AI image generators like it's going to help in other sectors of the AI field. It won't go anywhere past the point it's at because there's so much slop that it will just feed into itself. I know deep down, even you don't want to consume hollow content for the rest of your life. And stop spouting the "accessibility" nonsense, there is infinitely more value in crude MS paint drawings created by children than in the most colorful and complicated AI images.
