The dystopian view is an overreaction.
No robot is going to replace real quality human interaction.
So if you ask what is safe, look in that direction.
As for no need for science, i wholeheartedly disagree.
AI will speed up the work of scientists, not replace it.
And for AI to take root it will be the traditional way of early adapters, normal pace adapters and laggards.
As someone involved in change management: change takes time, change takes effort.
It can be due to financial budget constraints. It can be priority driven, that other changes are more urgent for a company at a point in time.
In short it will be more gradual change.
