@brud1522 See you believing that is exactly the pretentious artist BS I'm talking about. You give human beings way too much credit. Just to give you an idea of how fake all that stuff is, I literally don't put any emotion into anything I draw. I could care less. I do it like it's a job because that's how I make my money, I'm just lucky enough to be good at making art. And also lucky enough that I learn things extremely quickly. Art to me was always just another way to make money. And you're lying to yourself if you don't think that people with way more emotion than me aren't going to put effort into trying to make images that are meaningful within an AI. You're talking like the AI is just producing images on its own. It's not. There are inputs by human beings, and even though you hate to admit it, the fact of the matter is that AI is doing nothing but getting better, and people will put more of themselves into the art that they make. At the end of the day, there will be images that come out and make people feel. If you don't think there are some kids out there who are struggling and will one day make images that make people feel things, then you are lying to yourself. Think about a little kid who has nothing, whose parents give him nothing, and maybe has a little bit of access to the internet. Maybe his dad picks on him and beats him. Maybe his mom doesn't really give him the kind of attention he should have, and he is lonely. He doesn't know how to draw, he doesn't know where to start. He hasn't even thought about it. But maybe one day he stumbles upon an image generator on AI, and the first thing that comes to his mind is how he feels. He creates an image of a boy in a room by himself crying. You see it, and if you know the story behind it, who the hell are we to say that's not art? We're just scared. Because they know that creating art this way is going to be significantly easier, faster, and eventually at a level they won't be able to compete with. Hand-drawn art will be a niche and it's already a small place for people to make money as it is, and it's going to get even smaller. All I'm saying is that scenario that I'm talking about will happen, and people will produce images using AI. They will make people feel something - that same kid doesn't have to be that meaningful; it doesn't have to be some crazy image that makes us feel anything. Maybe him producing images on AI itself makes him feel good; maybe it gives him an outlet; maybe that's the only way he can create, and it's much faster and much easier than trying to take your time to learn who wants to deal with the frustrations of getting better as an artist? If you grow up in an environment where you already feel alone, lowering the barrier to entry gives me people a creative outlet very quickly. And again, who are we to say that that can't be art to them? I understand what you're saying when you say "meaningful images from AI is the funniest thing I've heard" - for someone who wants to believe that human beings are so complex that all of us put meaning into our images just because we're human. Let me know how actually stupid you are. If you truly believe that the method that art is created is what gives it meaning, then you're just like every other pretentious person that's crying out against AI. Just admit it - they're scared and there's going to be less jobs. They need to also admit to themselves that most of them are never going to be good enough to make money. I don't even care about art, and I make more money than every other artist. I know a dick in line about caring about the things that I draw shit - they'd probably all want to disown me half of my fans and the other artists that I've drawn with if they even knew that I was already working and practicing with AI under a different name. You'd have to be an idiot not to stay ahead of the curve.
