The problem is that the AI stole the art from nonconsenting artist. The AI needs to learn how to make art, right? So it takes information from images, but those images were stolen. And it's not just that, companies are (trying) to use AI and are not hiring real people, basically taking their jobs away to save money.
Plus, people are acting as if they actually sat down and made the art. When they didn't, someone else did. Lots of people did.
