Most ad blockers still collect and sell data that can allow sites like this to target you if you stop using their service, for any reason. And buyers still apply your data to the people in your demographic, niche, and even people you associate with direcly like family and friends. This needs to change via litigation and regulation at this point. People have been warning about this specific issue happening since the first deep fakes popped up years ago, and no one in the government cared enough to understand it, or set boundaries.
Hopefully qt follows through on her lawsuit idea. Getting a winning case on the books is the only way to set legal precedent now.
