@ari_wastaken>ai doesn't learn it associates shapes to keywords then reconstructs those shapes when you put in a prompt. Whereas artists can variate on and iterate on other people's ideas, ai just makes mimicry that's always a little off.
If we take physicalism to be true, and that consciousness can be computed, where exactly is the difference between the way ai "mimics" and the way humans "learn"? Hint: there isn't.
Ai with enough time can become conscious, but it would require a lot, and even more to make it consciously experience phenomenological states like pain or pleasure. But it's not impossible
