I absolutely agree. As with every shiny new thing, hype is disproportionately high. Currently, with the Iran/US/Israel war, we are seeing that the US hype doesn't correspond with what's a actually taking place. Trump knows that the stock market responds to what he says, regardless of it being true or not. AI is experiencing huge investments at the moment so they are blowing as much hot air into it as they can.
How much accuracy is in the predictions we will see in the coming years; surmising on the basis of past events, flying cars, computers bringing the paperless office etc., the AI prediction is very likely hyper-optimistic.
