@cimbakahn Why would I need money to pay for things? If AI does the work and it does not need the money there's no purpose for money! Again, you don't understand the purpose of money in the economy. Human labor MUST be a primary driver in the economy for money to make sense. Capitalism and Communism both use money primarily to assign value to labor to incentivize labor, they only differ in who is assigning the valuation (either central or democratic). If AI replaces workers money makes no sense.
AI will not replace workers in my lifetime, but hypothetically if it did replace workers then the people who control the AI would have all the economic resources and would have no value for "money" paid by citizens in the economy. They could choose to issue tokens of some kind to be used in exchange for purchasing but the function of those tokens would purely be to limit the excess of individuals within the free resource economy. In other words the gasoline is free of charge but you only get to buy 30 gallons / month because we don't want you to burn it all yourself.
