@cimbakahn If AI takes all the jobs why would I need an income? Does the AI need my money to pay other AIs to do things for the AI? You fundamentally don't understand the purpose of money or the difference between currency and wealth. If the things that you currently buy with money that you give to other humans so they can also buy things with money no longer require the labor of other humans then you no longer need to spend money! UBI solves absolutely nothing, if you have UBI plus AI has all the jobs, your money is worthless! But this whole fearmongering narrative to push through UBI is designed to destroy capitalism and centralize economic power under the government. Socialists are pivoting to this near fear because faith in world-destroying climate change is waning, in the previous decade it was all about giving economic power to the government to save the planet from fossil fuels.
