@thebigtony8582 It's not the bomb salesman who are saying this; it's specialists of the field who have broken with these companies and are now calling for regulation or a complete shutdown of the industry. If you claim that Geoffrey Hinton, Yoshua Bengio, or Eliezer Yudkowsky have interests in the industry, check your sources because that's simply not the case. Lobbyists for AI companies are fighting tooth and nail against regulation, while Hinton, Bengio, Yudkowsky, and others support it or are outright calling for an end to the race for superintelligence.
