Maybe an AI could create a meme when designed specifically for it, although no matter how frequently it updates its set of images the AI would use, and no matter how diverse its formula could be, it would get outdated pretty quickly. Human made memes would move away from its formulas either on their own due to changing trends or as a direct result of the formulas of the era being used in the AI.
