Also I used a local AI model to test things out, on my laptop that I got from work, so for _me_ specifically, cost was not an issue, and I do think a lot of that argument comes from people in a similar situation of mine: they already have the means to use AI easily and cheaply, while learning art is "hard". Also I'm not sure if you talk about that point but AI takes minutes while learning to draw to the same degree takes years, there's a significant time investment to get good at art. It is still worthwhile, but for me it was quite a lot easier to just faff around with the prompt to get cool stuff than to sit down and draw... anything, due to my ADHD. I still would rather draw than do AI, but right now I'll use AI sometimes to make cool concepts come to life (though I mostly stopped because it's so hard to "force" the AI to make somethign "new" anyway (as you say in the video, I'm trying to make firefly but all that comes out is star wars)). Some things I do think blurs the line a bit are tools that help change the AI output to be more like you want it (it's still _really_ hard to make it do stuff you want specifically), but you can add in stuff like pose data and depth maps which for _me_ at least meant I had to go and actually _make_ those in blender to input into the AI for better results (again, it helped but not at all as much as I needed for what's in my head)
