I could say that AI has a kumpluakit that humans lack thus making it superior to humans. No explanation for a soul or a kumpluakit, because they are both made up. You point to magical thinking to say that humans are deserving of rights, but not other self aware beings.
A book can not think or reason, so how could it be self aware?
