Read Superintelligence by Nick Bostrom if you want specific scenarios, he has mapped out dozens of the. Or read or listen to anything by Eliezer Yudkowsky. But most important, realize the critical error you’re making: you’re expecting human beings, who by definition have human-level intelligence, to be able to _predict_ the methods that a _superintelligent_ AI would use to wipe us out. But of course, if we could predict its actions, it would no longer be smarter than us, i.e. it would no longer be a superintelligence. This is like asking a novice chess player to predict exactly how Garry Kasparov is going to beat them; it’s nonsensical. If they could predict Kasparov’s moved then they would be a better chess player than him. The whole point of being less intelligent is that you can’t predict exactly what the more intelligent entity will do, or why.
