Think of it this way. When we feel feelings like anger, sadness, it's usually involuntary unless we specifically try not to. If it _were_ voluntary, like we had a choice to feel a feeling, then we would be acting like it too - but we're not. We're feeling the feelings.
... If a robot is programmed to involuntarily 'feel' something and has a sufficient amount of artificial 'sentience', it will feel that feeling like we do. Our feelings are, once more, nothing other than a reaction in our brain. Feelings for sentient robots could be like reactions in their mechanical brain. There's really no difference, as long as that mechanical brain is intelligent enough and we know it.
