The real next generation of games will have even the smallest of npc being driven by chat gpt like ai that can spontaneously create dialogue while remaining relevant to the npcs place in the game world and what the player says. And this is the easy no brainier examples. The true holy grail is when ai tools become better at creating assets and games can become 10x as large and detailed for the same money and development time. When lvl designers simply asks their ai tools for a specific asset and it is created in in hours or seconds instead of days.
