@michael_c137 I own an '18 Model S with autopilot. Anybody that drives with the autopilot unattended is basically putting their lives at risk. I've played with the autopilot from the beginning and while there have been a lot of improvements, the system is far away from being ready for autonomous driving. I use the autopilot as a safety supplemental, not as a replacement for me driving. It makes plenty of 'errors' in regular driving and is entirely useless on some streets despite being well marked. In the earlier versions of the autopilot, if you engaged it at night and turned off your headlights, the vehicle would continue to drive. It no longer allows for this but there were a ton of glaring bugs with the autopilot that weren't addressed until years later.
