Some people don’t trust other people, and are scared of being vulnerable around others after being hurt so often. Many are afraid of judgement, and putting emotions onto others, and a robot avoids all of that.
Some can’t afford a good psychologist, or get to a good psychologist, and some just can’t seek help because of neglect.
Years ago my introduction to therapy as an abused child was Woebot, now Woebot wasn’t an AI, but I truely give credit to it for being being a decent communicator.
