AI requires a complex understanding of math and computer science to develop. Engineers spend countless hours studying these subjects and then applying them to real life by creating these models. Yea it will promote laziness but it will simultaneously promote effort because it creates new demands for AI engineers. Also, human art isn't going away, for the same reason that human chess didn't go away when Kasparov lost to Deep Blue in 1997. There will always be the aspect of humanity behind it that a machine can't replicate. It's just in the cases where art is treated like a product it will be automated, such as if a solo game dev needs assets for his game and can't afford an artist he can instead use AI.
