@_ranituran3161 I don't mean it's public property, i mean it's been "published In" the public domain, ie, on the internet, or on a billboard, or a museum, it's in plain sight for everyone to see, in other words it's open to the public and can be easily accessed by the public, typically for free. I don't mean public domain in the copyright sense. Public art is a visual art form specifically created to be enjoyed by the general public. It is the opposite of private artwork, which is sold and displayed in private homes and collections. I understand why some may have found that confusing, given the context. Perhaps public realm would have been a better term. In any case, all my points remain valid despite your retort. It doesn't detract from any of the aforementioned facts. If you don't want me to save your image to my computer, and mess with it and change it, or print it out and stick it up on my wall, don't publish it publicly. Because i'm allowed to do that. If you don't want me to learn from your image, be inspired by it, and maybe even copy certain non-copyrightable aspects of it like it's style or color scheme or abstract themes etc, then also, do not publish publicly, because i can do that as well, legally. And that is what AI does with those datasets. All of that data was available publicly already, it never accessed anything it was not supposed to, nothing private, nothing was stolen. And then it learned from all those images so it could create it's own, just like humans do. The only real issues here seem to be the ones the anti-AI crowed have fabricated in their own delusional minds, and are just parroting them around in some deranged cacophonous echo chamber without a shred of logical thought or diligence.
