@TekWhizz Yeah, those things are also emerging, but even with technology like that replacing SOME jobs, the vast majority of jobs & careers will require human laborers that can learn the ropes and work efficiently until some serious technological and production/manufacturing upgrades come about in future generations that render machine labor even more efficient and reliable than human workers. In my estimation, a truly near 100% artificial labor society won't come about for a very long time, at least 1000 years. And even if we one day come close to a society like that, there will still be a need for human engineers to moderate the machines, while humans learn things for passion and innovate in fields like robotics or physics for fun. Probably, we will never truly reach 0% human labor, but rather it will likely plateau somewhere around 80% machine - 20% human, and stay like that from there on, but the machines will only keep getting better and better at what they do as the tech continues to improve. But yeah, 500 years from now, probably most tasks will be done by sophisticated machines, like at least 50% of jobs, and UBI will become a necessity, but all currency will probably be digital. When you go to a McDonald's in 2500 AD, no human workers are taking your order or working in the back, because everything is automated. But then again, in serious fields like the military, machines are highly susceptible to EMP, and a human soldier can be more reliable, even if worse at the job than pinpoint-precise machines, which are easily taken out by microwave weaponry.
