2nd attempt: the basis of crime is the class divide, a lack of a job, lack of basic resources, jealousy or envy in a person having a home or car or both, so another person says they will take what someone else already has. The social safety net is shredded and there is no medical care, no food stamps, etc. People derive their purpose in life from their jobs. In a capitalistic society which is based on money and transactions of money, you have to have money in order to live. So no money, how do you exist? No food stamps or medical care what about your quality of life? If we don't have UBS - universal basic subsistence now? Where are you getting free things? There is nothing free now, who will be supplying these free things? Think for pete's sake - Ai now is depriving people of their jobs, society will descend into breakdown and chaos.
