Like, I agreed with you to an extent, until I read everything else and it honestly feels like you're spiraling into a total doomsday scenario. Yes, humans built AI and humans are the ones deciding how to use it. You're absolutely right that the responsibility falls on the people creating and directing these models, not the code itself. AI doesn't have a mind of its own to be "evil." But taking that valid point and using it to say "Every human is to blame!" Like-..what? Also, what on gods green earth do you mean, "we?" Yes, humans in terms of our species led to AI, but it honestly feels like you're blaming everyone. The everyday artists whose work was scraped for training data didn't "steal" anything, and just to clarify something in case this gives you an idea for a counter, there is a big difference in a human using a reference and an algorithm processing billions of images without consent. Regular people aren't the ones to blame for how massive tech companies operate. Also, it's pretty wild to claim that "THERE IS NO REAL ART" considering that, well first off, yes there is :). Real art has been a thing ever since the first person decided to paint a cave wall. Like, what do you mean that there is no "real art"? Are you trying to say that ever since generative AI has progressed to the point that it can "pass off" as traditional art, that somehow means that art in general is just a lie, APPARENTLY? Like-..NOoo? Just because a machine can generate an image that looks like a painting doesn't suddenly invalidate the thousands of years of human intent, emotion, and culture that went into making the real thing.
