@MCNarretno government ever catches up and there is no goal of catching up. The leading powers are abusing the potential of the new technologies and those that are trying to regulate it are getting punished. Look at the EU, whenever they are discussing for a regulation around AI they constantly get hammered by the US administration.
The problem is simple, we don't think of what we do and we specifically avoid thinkin of the consequences and there is only one way moving on from this. Downhill most likely.
