@ann_undefined we understand quite a lot about the brain and neural networks, which is how they've got so far with AI. They just don't quite understand consciousness yet.. its likely some property of the universe ; not biology. We'll have AI progressing AI in ways we humans can't even understand.. it'll be finding solution we couldnt see.. its already started.. I think it might be 5-20 years.. quite soon.. you'll see it in the very near future, because the advances will be driven by AI itself once this tech get going. It'll go exponential. Thats why all the top AI creators are issuing warnings. Then we'll have interfaces were we can merge our minds with the AI.. and the AI becomes an extension of our brain.. Musk is already working on an interface.
For now, my bet is on LLM integrations and apps.. so as devs I think that's a good path to go down right now.. the jobs arent there yet , but they will be..
