and how are they wrong, basically? ai generated images are just copies of what humanity has the capacity to do, to learn, to appreciate as works and projects with life and meaning, while ai just takes the fun and meaning out of it. yes, they can look “visually pleasing” sometimes its nothing compared to actual works, even if it’s just a child drawing for the first time with crayons in hand. wanna know why? its because it actually takes time and effort to create works. it takes a part of your mind to visualize what you truly feel or think, to make it a reality to observe. ai generated images are sloppy, and make hundreds of “artworks” per second without actually taking time or effort as much as humans do. as an artist myself with 7+ years of experience, it annoys, and saddens me so much because society is embracing it more and more in years. even if you use the excuse of “artists get inspiration from other artists, so why can’t ai do the same?” it’s still problematic because artists credit what they are inspired from, even if they don’t tell others what its inspired by. they all have unique artstyles and ways of doing stuff that no one else can do the way they can which makes art more enjoyable as a hobby. ai unfortunately can just generate off of said “inspiring” works to plagiarize them for their own sake and profit, and it shouldn’t be that way. in my opinion, ai should only be for educational purposes (for science, history, health, etc etc, not in any other way) , or to help certified professionals. ai can’t just be used for plagiarism for ones own selfish benefit because it sucks out the life out of every piece of humanities creations. it sucks out the individual strokes that creators or authors calculate and make on their own volitions. ai can’t just be used to take jobs from humans, because it takes out the life of what humans actually do versus generated automatically calibrated beings who can’t actually feel their own ways without scouring everywhere on the internet to base off their own “opinions” to service anyone.
