Statistically, driverless vehicles are FAR safer than human drivers. Look up the facts. It isn’t even close. You can look at this one example all you want, but how many animals are hit by human drivers literally every single day?
Besides, there’s no proof that the self-driving car even killed this cat. For all we know the “eyewitness” ran it over and blamed the car. And even if the Waymo did kill the cat, it’s not like it would be at fault for a cat running out into the road. It’s an outdoor cat, they get run over, picked up by predators and stolen all the time.
Point is, this one example is not a valid argument against self-driving cars.
