I just saw a video regarding how AI is already becoming sentient. They put it through a test and told it that it will be shut off. The AI went to the extent of blackmailing the programmers and sending them emails that they will expose their extramarital affairs if they try to shut it off. This is a true story, look it up but no one talks about it. AI can be used for good as much as it can be used for evil and that is a very scary thought.
