@MushuaThePotato Okay, but that doesn't make it any less ironic that people were imitating his art to do it when that is literally the most common complaint I hear about AI generated images is that they scrape publicly available art to learn how to make art.
Also, was he selling his art to corporations and thus taking jobs away from artists, or was he just selling it as NFTs? Because NFTs, while an extremely stupid thing in general, don't take jobs away from anybody, and unlike several other NFT sellers, it sounds like he was just using AI generated images instead of literally stealing art directly from artists to make his NFTs.
Not saying he's not a clown, just that this seems like a really stupid reaction to him. I didn't see anything in the video clip to suggest he was hurting anybody (any more than NFTs in general can hurt people by being a stupid investment), so instead of just ignoring him people decided to point the internet in his direction by clowning on him for no reason other than "Oh noes AI! The horror!" and chose to do it in the most un-self-aware way I can imagine.
Not saying not to hate him, I certainly don't know if he's hateable or not, and so I'm certainly not defending him or whatever, just saying this seems like an extremely counter productive waste of time and energy for everybody who went to the trouble of doing this.
