Well, isn’t that what most apps do? Usually people will search for more than just one video related to a topic, hence the recommendation algorithm. Just like you search for a topic using a search engine, you don’t just visit one website and you’re done. You visit many websites until you’re “satisfied”. What the WSJ is trying to show is how the algorithm works differently on TikTok when it comes to users changing their interests. The algorithm still recommends the same thing even if the user has changed their interests.
