@whynotcode No, i think John says that because he is not using AI. if he was, he would know how dangerous it has become for the future of programmers. Today, it is still 'difficult' to create a game with AI, but it is becoming each day easier. 2 years top and it is over. EAch iteration of your game, you can ask AI to change this part or that part. To the point where your game is as precisely what you want. Today it takes patience to do it, but in 2 years, it will be way more efficient to do it...and much faster. Personally i hate it. it goes against everything i hoped for the future of programming. But it is what it is. Programmers today are like those lines operators that used to work on the telephone lines, plug in and plug out stuff to make it work. AI will replace all those who used to be in entry level programming jobs. In 2 years, the majority of the rest will also be replaced. Soon there will be just too many people able to do your 'job' and in less than 2 years, it will become a one man's vision to create a game. No programming knowledge necessary... it will be devastating for programmers stuck with a useless degree, debt and impossible odds on the work market. Don't go there kids, it's over.
