Saying that you don’t care about privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different from saying you don’t care about freedom of speech because you have nothing to say. AI driven surveillance tools will be misused sooner or later, placing more power than ever in the hands of people who don’t have your best interest in mind. AI driven drones and cameras might be a useful tool to report crime, but eventually it will also report on the location of activists, journalists and other people fighting the good fight.
