I like that definition, but it came before ai was created, meaning that he probably said human to avoid someone saying an animal was an artist. Words change over time, and using an ancient definition isn't a valid argument to say that artificially generated images aren't art. There are valid arguments, that just wasn't one of them.
besides, couldn't you say that an ai has minimum expertise? It has practice creating images, and has seen multiple well made finished products
