@jgreat4785great point on the investment. I don’t think all computer based jobs will be replaced, it will replace the nature of what we do on the computer. For instance, I use AI to generate code for myself, then ask it to explain what the code is doing. Through that I’ve built small finance applications for clients that I would have had to hire someone for initially. The AI did not know where to input the code and why it was being used, it was driven by my client and I through professional discussion. There’s also the issue of liability; if AI messes something up that causes a company to go under, who is at fault? This seems trivial but our entire system is built on liability.
